Lying Spirit

Defined: to present something that is not true in a conscious effort to deceive somebody, to give a false impression

Manifests through:

Gossip – 1 Timothy 6:20, 2 Timothy 2:16

False Prophecy – Jeremiah 23:16-17, Mathew 7:15

Accusations – Revelations 12:10, Psalms 31:18

Slander – Proverbs 10:18

Lies – 2 Chronicles 18:22, Proverbs 6:16-19

Flattery – Psalms 78:36, Proverbs 20:19, 26:28, 29:5

John 8:44, “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”
