Spirit Of Error

Defined: false assumption or belief, ideas contrary to truth, lack of understanding

• Distinct from Deception: Deception is a LIE, Error is a WRONG CONCLUSION

Manifests through:

Error – Proverbs 14:22, 1 John 4:6, 2 Peter 3:16-17

Un-teachable – Proverbs 10:17, 12:1, 13:18, 15:10, 2Timothy 4:1-4

Argumentative – 2 Peter 2

Contentious – James 3:16

False Doctrines – 1 Timothy 6:20-21, 2 Timothy 4:3, Titus 3:10

Unstable – James 1:6-8, 2 Peter 2:14, 2 Peter 3:16

1 John 4:6, “We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.”

Bind – The Spirit Of Error

Loose – Spirit of Truth, release the Word of God – Ask for “Understanding.” Also loose the office of the Apostle in the church

Fruit – Of the Spirit – Temperance

Gift of The Spirit – Discerning of Spirits
