The Unveiling – Lesson Three

SEASON SIGNS of The End Time

Part Two

Deception & Parable

It is of most importance that we know beyond a shadow of a doubt what we subscribe to is truth, and it points us home to that eternal city. The bottom line is, when we peel away everything else, the most important thing, the greatest thing, that we must have right, is our salvation! I can be wrong about a lot of things, but I want to be right about my eternal future and how to get there!

The Bible explains multiple times, in many places, that in the last days one could easily be deceived by seducing spirits sent out into the world.

Mark 13:22 tells us…

Mark 13:22 (KJV) 22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

Matthew 24:21-22, Jesus is still talking…

Matthew 24:21-22 (KJV) 21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

The Bible tells us that even the very elect could be deceived unless the days were shortened

The definition of the word elect from the original is “picked out, chosen.” This is the spirit- filled, living, watching, waiting-for-Christ group of people on the earth at the time of the rapture of the bride.

It is important to know the truth, not necessarily the path set out by an organization or a denomination. Living by the Word of God, by what the Bible says, and relationship with Jesus Christ is what will see us inside heaven’s gates and onto streets of gold!

It is vitally important that we are not deceived by man, ministry, or new philosophies and agendas pushed by humanistic agendas during this last hour!

Isaiah 8:19-20 (KJV) 19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? 20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Revelation 12:17 (KJV) 17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 14:12 (KJV) 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

The mark of God’s people is that they are keeping the laws; they are keeping the commandments of God. Don’t move past this too quickly. These are eternal issues we are discussing.

A more emphatic verse of scripture explains it with more fervency…

1 John 2:3-4 (KJV) 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

This verse ties back in to Matthew 7:23 when Jesus says, “I will tell them I know ye not.” If an individual is not following the teachings of the Bible, God’s word says, “depart from me you workers of iniquity,” and cast them out into utter darkness.

The spirit of antichrist is at work to deceive and blind individuals from achieving the eternal joy, happiness, and reward that all strive for and is God’s will for everyone to have.

1 John 4:3 (KJV) 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

The antichrist is known to be one that opposes Christ. From the original, the meaning is “antichrist instead of Christ.”

2 Corinthians 4:4 (KJV) 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

I John 4:3 tell us emphatically that the spirit of antichrist is already at work, working against you and me, working against the Church. 2 Corinthians 4:4 says, the god of this world, referencing Satan, has blinded minds.

Events, situations, and circumstances have slowly and methodically slipped into our world, then into our homes, then into our churches and found dwelling places of acceptance and justification of compromise in the Christian mind. It finds residence as it rocks individuals to sleep with doses of apathy. The dominant mentality becomes, “I can’t do anything about it, so I’m going to accept it. It’s just the way everyone lives. It’s what the rest of the world is doing, and there’s nothing I can do about it.” Before we know it, we are carried off into messed up thinking, swallowed in the abyss of deception.

We become mutilated and weary Christians. Some question if there really is a God. Others disbelieve scripture concerning the rapture, not believing in a literal hell, and questioning heaven. Eventually, this mentality births the interrogation of scriptural commandments and laws of which God said not to add to or take from.

Revelation 22:18-19 (KJV) 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Wrong thinking manipulated into place through vessels of mankind, through liberal media, through government, through agendas of special interest groups, through bombardment of behind-the-scenes satanic influence, and through erroneous thought processes melds into a subtle satanic cacophony that breaks down sound Christian beliefs, rendering the man who has not armed himself with the Word of God helpless against its hypnotic deception.

The ultimate goal of Satan is for individuals to turn against God. Many different factions push blasphemy to the forefront of society today. Blasphemy, the extreme final form of rebellion, has become increasingly open and bold, and it has become much more accepted by the general public.

In years past, Christians were appalled at even the mention of blasphemy. Media has become more and more open about questioning Godly things, God’s existence, and even the most basic of biblical truths. The world is more tolerant to a blasphemous society, which makes it more conducive for the antichrist spirit to work freer and more openly.

In previous decades, only hippies or social misfits promoted the New Age philosophy which espoused that there was no eternal God of the universe, but that humans were their own gods. Today, this philosophy has become more common in everyday society with celebrities on board, deceiving thousands to believe false doctrine, leading millions down roads of destruction.

No longer are these erroneous teachings limited to New Age self-help books, but they have wormed their way into Christian literature and lectures as well. Many courses teach these horrendous false errors using Christian terminology with a completely new meaning that is metaphysical with the intent of correcting errors in the Bible that have offended unbelievers because of their “narrow-mindedness.” In these erroneous teachings, there is no separation of God and His creation.

The underlying theme of such courses is Hinduism disguised in Christian terminology. It teaches that all roads “lead to God in the end.” One learns this by “revelation-induced-only experience.” This teaching espouses, “When revelation of your oneness comes, it will be known and fully understood.” This is the mystical experience where one’s worldview changes by new knowledge. It is referred to as a paradigm shift. This philosophy is not rooted in Christian teaching. It is not rooted in the Word of God. It is New Age and occultic, and it is the synthesizing of all beliefs preparing people for a one-world religion in which Jesus is just one of many teachers with the truth.

The enemy’s plan is to deceive individuals into believing a universal philosophy in which the Bible is so diluted and distorted that it simply becomes another sacred text instead of the divinely-inspired Word of God. This same plan would render Jesus and his sacrifice void of its power because it would demote Him to just another discoverer of His own divine potential, no more or less than anyone else.

It is the antichrist spirit at work, deceiving, blinding, and manipulating into total deception.

This interfaith movement is no longer merely the province of little heeded religious idealists with extravagant visions. The United Religious Initiative proponents have ranged from billionaires to presidents, to different religious leaders, to leaders of government-approved churches around the world.

The interfaith movement is promoted by globalists and New Age reformers that favor erosion of national sovereignty, marginalization of traditional religions, establishment of global governance, and creation of a new earth-based “global spirituality, in effect, a one-world government.

The United Religious Initiative and the interfaith movement are poised to become the spiritual foundation of the New World Order.

Discussed in the latter part of this section are the extremes of Matthew 24:4-5, the goals of demise that Satan would like to reach with man.

It should be noted, one need not be an occultist, a New Ager, or an interfaith reformer, for Satan’s trap to work against him. As already discussed, it is of utmost importance to soul search, making certain of our salvation and the path we walk to true righteousness so that the warning of Matthew 24:4-5 works in our lives and does not fall on deaf ears!

Another leaf on the tree from the fig tree that Jesus used to describe last day events is War and Rumors of Wars.

Matthew 24:6-7 (KJV) 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:

Matthew 24:6 says that you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. Verse seven says nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. The disciples had asked what do we look for?

How will we know? Jesus said there will be wars and rumors of wars!

Our world today is consumed in conflict, wars, and terrorism. Earth is a volatile place in the third millennium with no end in sight, in fact escalation is the near future view!

Israel is the epicenter of end time events. Paramount and at the center of war and rumors of war is Israel. Daily they deal with this topic on a very serious level. Many want the world to revolve around their nation they live in. The fact is, the center of prophetic fulfillment is Israel. It is our thermometer of our position in the last days. Elsewhere, nations strategically maneuver for global power, looking to gain strongholds of control. Thus, we are a world on the brink of world war.

Another leaf is famine.

Matthew 24:7 (KJV) 7 … and there shall be famines,

The disciples had asked, “What do we look for? What will the last days be like?” Jesus responded that a sign of the end times would occur when famine was throughout the land and around the world.

Statistics tell us that the world is facing a hunger crisis unlike anything it has seen in more than 50 years according to the Bread of the World organization.

According to statistics:

  • The World Bank reports millions live in “absolute poverty” around the world
  • Every day thousands of children die from hunger related causes
  • Every year millions of children die of hunger
  • World Health Organization (WHO) estimates 1/3 of the world is under fed
  • Billions live on less than $2.00 per day around the world

Jesus said in the last days, before he returns, to watch for it, to look for it because there will be widespread famine!

Matthew 24:7 (KJV) 7 … and pestilences,…

Another leaf on the tree is pestilence and disease. The disciples had asked how will a person know? Jesus answered, there will be widespread pestilence.

The outbreak of disease is running rampant instilling fear worldwide with concern of diseases spreading, deaths, and incurable illnesses.

Pestilence is another sign and warning of the end times. Jesus said that when we see pestilence, we should know that his arrival is nigh and at the door.

Matthew 24:7 (KJV) 7 …and earthquakes, in divers places.

Scripture says, in the last days, there will be earthquakes in divers places.

Earthquakes are escalating with earthquake clusters, tsunami’s and volcanoes creating life threatening events globally. We live during a time that the fulfillment of scripture is without question!

Today swarms of earthquakes are taking place around the world with several hundred earthquakes taking place in a region at the same time. We have had major Tsunamis in the last few years, due to earthquakes. This earth is rocking and reeling from all the earthquake activity!

Why spend so much time discussing earthquakes? It is tangible recorded evidence of fulfilled prophecy happening right before our very eyes in real time. Earthquakes increase and intensify, just as the Bible says they will, the closer to the Lord’s coming that we get.

Jesus told the disciples there would be earthquakes throughout places in the last days. When you see it, know I’m coming soon. Call it coincidence if you want. I’m going to pay attention to the Word of God that says in the last days these things shall come to pass right before His return. I believe the Word of God!

Events of this era alert individuals to recognize these are the signs of the last days. The third millennium has brought about a whole new set of warnings, escalating us right up to the brink of Christ’s return.

Today, many secular and religious authorities recognize that the times in which we live are extraordinary time.

World leaders in recent years, months, and days have used and continue to use apocalyptic terminology.

  • An Associated Press writer asks, “Is everything spinning out of control?”
  • A Wall Street Journal headline read, “Millennium Fever: Prophets Proliferate, The End Is Near.”
  • A New York Times book review began, “Some 50 million Americans share a belief that these are the last days.”
  • Even the Chicago Tribune ran a front-page story about the end times in a Sunday edition.

The most seasoned newsmen that have seen it all are in awe of the world developments taking place. All of them realize something unique in the history of the world is happening. What’s most stunning is the breathtaking rapidity of recent events.

We’ve entered an era that the Bible can be substantiated now, more than ever before by fulfilled prophecy. Yet more question the validity of the Bible than ever of the history of mankind!

Warning signs are all around us. They can be seen in our daily news. They abound everywhere we look.

  • War and rumors of war…
  • Nations against nations…
  • Earthquakes…

Today these warnings bear fruit as we watch the world enter deeper into its last hours of time. Warnings written 2,000 years ago scream out in vivid living color at us today.

It begs the question, how many signs does an individual need to really get serious about making his relationship with Jesus Christ top shelf priority? The good news is that as we look at these prophetic signs and understanding opens up to us, we are given the opportunity to do just that, make sure Christ is first in our lives. All of these signs are for that purpose. These prophetic words were breathed into existence by Jesus Christ for the purpose of our eternal life. What a blessed, wonderful, glorious savior we serve. When we understand what He did for us, then the Word, which was written as a mystery, becomes unveiled for our understanding, so we can recognize the season as His arrival approaches for the purpose of our becoming ready.
